Muslim Welfare House

Muslim Welfare House has organised the 4^th annual family conference on Sunday 24^th May 2009 at Kensington Town Hall. It was a great opportunity for participants to meet with other people coming from different parts of the UK.

The conference had a mixture of guest speakers covering the issues which relates to families from Islamic and Physiological perspective.

The theme for the conference this year was “Raising children through pain and hope”, lectures were focused on raising children in the west and how we can direct our children to the goodness of the community.

The speakers spoke about current issues with families in the west and gave advice on how to deal with them to try to prevent such issues from happening in the Future.

The conference had a collection of famous speakers such as; Dr. Omar Abdelkafy, Dr. Ibrahim Alkhulaify, Shiekh Rajab Zaki, Dr. Aysha Allighany, Sheikh Salem Alsheikhy and Dr. Mohamed Saad.

The programme included a Nasheed which was performed by AL-NOUR  nasheed group.

A special programme was prepared and made by Muslim Welfare House supplementary schools. Children of the school have performed a play about the value of the mother in Islam.

The conference also consisted of a separate mini exhibition where stalls were taken up by Islamic organisations and businesses. These consisted of a Lebanese Restaurant, Islamic clothing for Women, Islamic Bank, Charities for Somalia and Palestine and other light refreshments.

The conference ended with a duaa’ by Dr. Omar Abdelkafy and thanking volunteers who worked hard to present the conference in the best way.
