Don’t Eradicate Your Existence

Our youth department put together their first annual conference aimed at Muslim youth who were born and raised in the west. The event was held on the 25^th of October 2009 with a well-known line up of speakers. Among those speakers was Br. Amr Khalid from Egypt, alongside Br. Mustafa Hosny also from Egypt, followed by Br. Amir Awan, an Islamic Nasheed artist from North London, with the honour of Sr. Yasmeen Al-Hosary, also a guest from Egypt. The conference was well attended by over 800 people from all over the UK and even overseas countries such as Lebanon, Egypt, Belgium, Holland and more. Within the conference was an exhibition held by all the sponsors of the event including African Development Trust, Interpal, Islamic Relief and more. Our plans are to make this an ongoing annual event and expanding on this project to create awareness for the Muslim Youth.
