 Muslim welfare House has always been concerned with youth, the strength power for the future leading generation of our community.
For the past ten years, we have focused greatly on tailoured programmes to develop both their physical and intellectual abilities. This includes life skills, self –responsibility, leadership and several indoor and outdoor sports activities.
The Youth work at MWH is both young boys and girls, who participate in designing and managing such activities with supervision from MWH youth workers .This allows them to gain necessary leadership and organisation skills as well as maintaining responsibility.
Our programme includes
Boy’s weekly indoor and outdoor sports activities include football, karate, and Table tennis as swimming.
Girl’s weekly activities; self defence and aerobic.
Weekly youth forum, held twice a week, one for boys and one for girls. This is where youth get to discuss different topics, aiming to address areas of intellectual development while gaining feedback on the services and activities MWH offers them Parenting MWH provides parents with a regular lectures and counselling sessions to support the upbringing of their children in ways that consider cultural and social climate.
Working with local authorities the MWH youth group is working together with the local authorities to help maintain society healthiness and development, working with the Islington Safeguarding Board (ISB) and the local council |
